Push Yourself!

Hello, my friends! I thought I’d start with the personal stuff, this time.

And I have been really busy! In terms of my writing I am working on the translated editions of Lost Solace, which take a lot of time. I’m doing Italian and Spanish editions first, as I have friends who will read the translations (I need to find French and German volunteers at a later date ...) I’m also teaching creative writing, both in formal sessions in the town, and in terms of mentoring brilliant new authors.

I had a go at bouldering recently, which is a challenge for me as I’m not great at heights. No safety ropes or anything like that, just climb up and down. I’ve also been in the local papers after pulling fly-tipped items from the river, and have spoken at community council meetings about the problem of littering. In the last few days I have also been on the BBC website and radio (and in more newspapers!) campaigning to save a greenfield site. All of this does eat into my time, but I feel it is important.

Here’s something I am curious about: do any of you live in an area where green spaces are respected, and irresponsible people don’t drop litter or do flytipping? I’d like to know!
